The small incisions in Ronja’s knee are sewn up. Ronja’s body will take care of the thread, so that she will not need to return to the hospital to have the stitches removed. Ronja receives morphine which is pain-relieving and Gunilla stops administering the anaesthetic. Ronja is lifted over to her ordinary bed and is moved down to the recovery ward where she wakes up and comes round from her deep sleep. Ronja’s mother and stepfather are waiting for her there.
