The operating room nurse Pia and the orthopaedic surgeon David conduct the operation themselves. David makes two small incisions in Ronja’s knee with a small sharp knife that is called a scalpel. In one of the holes he inserts a tube with a very small camera. In the other hole he introduces the different instruments that he is working with. With the aid of the camera he is able to carry out the operation without opening the knee.
