It’s important for everything to be really, really clean during an operation. The people operating on you mustn’t have any bacteria at all on their hands. That’s why the staff have to wash their hands thoroughly for a long, long time using a special soap before your operation. After washing, they apply lots of hand sanitiser to their clean hands, and then they put on a pair of extra clean gloves. These gloves come in lots of different sizes and colours. It really doesn’t matter what colour the gloves are, but it’s important to choose ones that are comfortable, just the right size, and that they fit really well.
